Student To Normandy

This Memorial Day is extra meaningful for one St. Joseph high school senior.

The ceremonies are reminding Lauren Grundberg of her upcoming trip to Normandy, France, where she will get to see a historic location in person. Grundberg is a student at Lafayette High in St. Joseph and the winner of this year's National Competition sponsored by the National History Day Organization. She will be representing Missouri at a program in Normandy called "Normandy: Sacrifice For Freedom". Grundberg says she's one of just 15 students in America chosen for the honor.
