Visitors to St. Joseph last year brought in 148 million tax dollars.
The St. Joseph Convention and Visitors Bureau is in charge of marketing St. Joseph to visitors and urging them to stay over night and spend money within the area. Communications director at the bureau, Beth Conway, says the amount of revenue brought in last year proves tourism is a big business for Missouri and St. Joseph. Conway adds the CVB has a new website at www.stjomo.com where you can prepare for the summer travel season.
