The Bushman Planetarium in St. Joseph reopens tonight and is planning a series of programs for the public.
The planetarium on the Missouri Western campus has been closed for extensive renovation, but now surrounds visitors with a 3-D image that instantly transports them from earth to space and back again. 3 different shows have been produced, and will be featured on 9 different dates starting tonight. At 7:30 this evening the show "Wonders of the Universe" will project space through the eyes of the Hubble telescope. That show continues through Thursday evening. The other upcoming shows are called "Black Holes" that will be shown at 7:30 on the nights of May 31st, June 1st and June 2nd. The "Extreme Planets" show will be at 7:30 on June 6th, 8th, and 9th. The Bushman Planetarium is inside Agenstein Hall on the Missouri Western campus in St. Joseph.
