May 18, 2011GRUNDY COUNTY, MO | By: Wayman
The series of community briefings continue to allow MoDOT officials to explain the plan to close 136 maintenance facilities.
Today officials are at Cameron City Hall and South Harrison High in Bethany to explain what they call their bolder direction. Don Wichern is the district engineer for the northwest Missouri region and says while some customer service like snow removal could take longer, they will try to send out crews before the snow falls, and the goal of cost savings will still happen. Wishern adds local governments are already showing interest in MoDOT buildings slated to be closed. Another community briefing is being held next Tuesday in Trenton. That will be at the Grundy County Courthouse starting at 9 that morning.
