Crappie Fishing

Crappie fishing is in full swing through north Missouri.

Russ Shefflitt is the Protection District supervisor with the Missouri Department of Conservation in our region and says even though there's no season fishermen can catch up to 30 crappie per day with no size limits. Shefflitt adds now is a peak time to catch because of the crappie spawning. You can hear the complete interview on crappie prospects during our morning conversation, that's at 11:06 this morning.
