Students at a St. Joseph Elementary School is sharing fruits of their labor with the community.
Preschoolers through 6th graders at lake contrary elementary have planted a community garden-filled with corn, tomatoes, melon, squash, and other vegetables. Lake Contrary principal Jasmine Bridewell says the project is available for anyone in the neighborhood to harvest from, and the benefits are plentiful. Bridewell says the students are happy to share vegetables with the public and will be working in the community garden through the summer school months as well.
