Chillicothe Council

Chillicothe leaders should know by June 10th the names of candidates for the next city administrator.

That's the deadline the council has chosen to accept applications. The search for the administrator has officially launched by placing notices with the Missouri Municipal League and another trade group. A 9-member committee appointed by mayor Chuck Haney will review the applications, then make recommendations to the council. In other business the Chillicothe council also approved a conditional use permit for a bait and tackle shop at a home at 11:20 2nd Street. Members also hired Mike Booth as the city's emergency management co-assistant director.
