Brookfield School Board

The Brookfield School Superintendent is recognizing area communities for their scholarship support of graduating seniors.

At the recent board meeting Dr. Paul Barger reported communities in the district gave more than $136,000 in scholarships adding that's money above and beyond what colleges and university awarded the seniors. Also at the meeting R-3 members also approved purchase of a new school bus for a little more than $77,000 minus a trade-in credit of $8,500. That vote was contingent upon the district receiving proper funding for the next fiscal year. A technology solutions plan was also presented. Brookfield R-3 Board members will review it and are expected to re-address the issue again in August.
