April 29, 2011St. JOSEPH, MO | By: Swetnam
Starting this weekend, women across America will put aside their nail polish and pick up nail guns and other equipment during "National Women Build Week" with habitat for humanity.
St. Joseph Habitat for Humanity is no exception, as local women will gather tomorrow to raise roof trusses and interior walls for two new homes. Participants will include women from the Teacher's Credit Union, Lowe's Heroes, and Savannah High School cheerleaders. Volunteer coordinator, Rita Boyer, says the hard work does not go unnoticed. Boyer adds the St. Joseph organization should complete those homes this Fall. St. Joseph Habitat for Humanity continues to welcome volunteers and other assistance.
