The Andrew County Museum in Savannah is now charging for admission.
The move for adults to pay $3 and students and seniors $2 is to address funding needs in an uncertain economy. That's what Andrew County Museum director Glenn Uminowicz says adding a charge also helps the institution take advantage of various national and regional promotional activities. The director adds the new admission fee will also ensure other activities will continue like free in-school programs the Andrew County Museum offers. He says the museum will also continue offering occasional "Free Days" to local residents.
