Nearly 70 lettered highways in a dozen counties across northwest Missouri are set to be resurfaced and patched the next several months.
MoDOT says 190 miles of so-called "Farm to Market" blacktops will be upgraded thanks to cost savings the last few months that are being put toward the highway construction. Spokeswoman for MoDOT St. Joseph District Headquarters Elaine Justus says the internal operations savings have been worth it. Justus says reparirs on the targeted routes are set to be completed this construction season.
