Health Care Decisions Day is set for April 27 this year.

St. Francis Hospital and Health Services in Maryville, along with other national, state and community organizations, are leading a large effort to highlight the importance of advance health care decision-making. Health Care Decisions Day is the product of these efforts. As a participating organization, St. Francis is providing information and tools for the public to talk about their wishes with family, friends and health care providers, and execute written advance directives in accordance with Missouri State Law. Hospital chaplain, Joshua Allee, adds it's important to respect patient's autonomy. Health Care Decisions Day will take place next Wednesday afternoon, April 27, from one until 3, in the St. Francis Hospital Lobby.
