H20 Treatment

A new water treatment plant began supplying water to the city of Auburn Nebraska yesterday, but more work needs to be done.

The new plant was built due to the fact that the old treatment center was not able to meet the requirements needed for treating well water that was under the influence of surface water. Melissa Sierks, with the Board of Public Works, some issues yesterday will be worked out, then they will try again. Sierks says residents can expect discoloration of water and some pressure changes until the new treatment plant is fully operating.
