Fish Count

Efforts continue today to collect the pallid sturgeon from the Missouri River.

The Missouri department of Conservation is collecting the endangered fist on the Missouri from Craig to Glasgow checking them to see if they are in their 3 to 5 year reproduction stage and trying to get the numbers back up. Darby Niswanger is with the department and says they want to make sure the fishery program is successful. Niswanger adds fisheries staff in Missouri have collected more than 40 pallid sturgeon so far and are hoping those will be spawning soon.
