April 28, 2011NODAWAY COUNTY, MO | By: Compton
The Nodaway County Historical Society is planning a fashion show and tell program for Sunday, July 31st, and needs contributors.
There will be displays of vintage clothing of various eras from the museum's collection, and it is hoped that people in Nodaway county may have some older and interesting clothing tucked away that they would be willing to bring to "Show and Tell" at this event. The clothes can be from any era, and stories to go along with the clothing are welcome as well. Melissa Middleswart, with the Nodaway County Historical Society, says the society is trying to preserve the history of Nodaway county, while also raising money for the museum. Refreshments will be served and admission will be just a free-will donation, as the museum has no tax support and is run by volunteers, with donations. Those wishing to contribute clothing to the July fashion show can contact Melissa Middleswart.
