April 7, 2011MARYVILLE, MO | By: Wayman/Roach
Maryville Downtown District is still open for business, despite being a construction zone the next several months.
Right now barricades are up and traffic is detoured as the final two phases of the downtown revitalization is completed. New sidewalks and ironwork features are being installed on the merchants side of the courthouse square completing a 6 year goal of the grass-roots citizen's group campaign for community renewal. Andy Macias is an engineer helping to coordinate the work and says shoppers can still access downtown Maryville businesses. Alternate parking maps are also being provided and can be picked up at Maryville businesses. The downtown Maryville construction is set to last through mid-June.
