The Chillicothe City Council approves a state grant for airport upgrades.

The grant will pump an additional $300,000 into the expansion of the airport. Lochner contractors will be working on the facility. The city council this week also reviewed a spending plan, which includes paying back money used to by land for the state's correctional facility. Chillicothe also plans on spending $200,000 to tear down the old leeper hotel and another $250,000 to help re-develop the old prison property. The Council put off changes to the sign ordinance until the next meeting, giving members time to review the ordinances.
