Agriculture Academy Students

Five high school students in our region are among just 30 statewide that will attend the 2011 Agribusiness Academy.

That's the tour in early June that shows high school sophomores interested in pursuing AG-related college degrees and careers several highlights in the state, including tours in Columbia, Jefferson City, and Kansas City. Representing the Northwest District are Haley Alden of Hamilton, Aleesha Ball of Fairfax, Leslie Birkenholz of Hopkins, Courtney Brown of Tina, and Magie Steinhoff of Trenton. To be chosen for the academy, the students have to come from a farming family or be an active member of the National FFA Organization or 4H.
