The Chillicothe Area Arts Council is extending the deadline for its juried photo contest.
Called "My Rural America", the group is seeking photos of objects or people within a 60 mile radius of Chillicothe that reflect what rural America looks like. The Arts Council says it wants to promote both amateur and professional photographers and their work while at the same time visually preserve the local and area history. Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded for the youth division, adult amateur, and adult professional divisions. The deadline to submit your work is now April the 1st. Entry forms and contest rules are at the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce. The top 60 photos will be on exhibit in late April through mid-May at the Livingston County Library.
