Two bridges in Northwest Missouri are closing Monday for approximately 6 to 8 weeks.
The two bridges, one in Nodaway county and the other in Gentry county, are part of the Northwest Districts safe and sound bridge improvement program which will be improving 802 Missouri bridges by October of 2014. In Gentry county Route M will close two miles west of US 169 at the bridge over Island Creek approximately 4 miles south of Stanberry. In Nodaway county MO 246 three miles east of Hopkins at the bridge over Norvey Creek will close Monday as well. Both bridges are expected to be completed in 6 to 8 weeks.
