The US Army Corps of engineers has released a new report about its planned re-evaluation of the future of the Missouri River.
The plans could effect St. Joseph, Nebraska City, and other towns in our region. However the corps is looking for more public input on the study. The draft summarizes more than 1,200 comments received by the corps last year during the study period. Re-evaluation project manager Mark Harberg says the corp will hold a series of public feedback meetings. A meeting is set for Monday, April 4th at Nebraska City's Lied Conference Center and on Tuesday April 5th at the Kansas City Kansas Hilton Garden Inn. Both meetings will run from 5 to 7 those evenings.
