Three regional residents including a county sheriff have been nominated to various state boards by governor Jay Nixon.
Randall Relford of Cameron has been nominated to the Missouri Dental Board. Relford, a former Missouri house member, Clinton County Coroner, and presiding commissioner of Clinton county, will help adopt and enforce rules and regulations by dentists and dental hygienists in the state. Livingston County Sheriff Steve COx has been nominated to serve on the peace officer standards and training commission. He will help with establishing core curriculum and regulations for Missouri peace officers. And Brenda Tinnen of Plattsburg is to serve on the State Tourism Commission. She is the general manager and senior vice president of the group overseeing the Sprint Center, Kemper Arena and the American Royal Complex in Kansas City. All nominees are subject to approval by the Missouri senate.
