The benefit for Grundy County Scouts is now able to start working on a couple projects at their youth outdoor camp thanks to a grant provided to them from the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation.
The grant is for $4,000. Missouri Department of Conservation spokesman Bill Graham says the Grant will help pay for a portion of the costs for a shelter and nature trail near Trenton. The Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation is a private, non-profit group that chose this project to help youth enjoy and learn about outdoor recreation, hiking, camping, and about wildlife. The project will also include habitat restoration in the woodlands where a meadow will be restored to native prairie grasses and wild flowers.
