The Andrew County Museum has been awarded a grant in which patrons will directly benefit.
The Messick Charitable Trust has given the museum in Savannah nearly $5,700 for a new microfilm scanner. Museum officials says it will replace their current microfilm reader which is about 20 years old and for which parts are no longer manufactured. The new scanner will be used not only for historical research, but also to produce digital images for publications and exhibits at the Andrew County Museum.
