The Center for Disease Control lists Missouri and Kansas as having "Regional" outbreaks of the flu, the respiratory kind. Nodaway County Health Department Tabitha Frank says strep throat is also spreading locally. Frank says the stomach intestinal bug seemed to peak back in December in Nodaway county and not as many cases of it are being reported right now. She adds it's still not too late to get a respiratory flu vaccination since the season can last through mid-spring.
