Chillicothe Council

At this week's city council meeting members voted to pursue grants available with help from the Green Hills regional planning commision. The city has about 25 houses on its list it considers dilapidated and ready for tear-down. Grants of up to $125,000 are available for the house razing, and $175,000 for commercial structures. That could include the Old Leeper Hotel building. The Chillicothe council also officially appointed Josh Norris as parks and recreation director. Norris has been interim director since November.
