Despite the snow, work is still scheduled for Monday on a Nodaway county bridge that will close on a Nodaway County Bridge that will close a road for the next 2 to 3 months.
The Route A bridge over Jenkins Creek, which is about two miles east of Graham, is being replaced. It's part of the state department's "Safe and Sount Bridge Program" which is systematically replacing some of the most out of date bridges in the state. MoDOT distrcit headquarters spokeswoman Elaine Justus says the Route "A" Bridge qualifies, according to St. Joseph MoDOT District spokeswoman Elaine Justus. North missourians are urged to check out the complete bridge replacement schedule with suggested detours for this year at the MoDOT website and clicking on the northwest district's "Safe and Sound" program.
