Working with weights have shown to have a greater benefit than thought for anyone older than 40 years old. Stephen Ball is an exercise physiologist for the University of Missouri extension. He says building muscle mass cn even help with bone loss. Ball says even though 21st century life is easier, we are still hard wired to be active.
