Jim Craford, a natural resource engineering specialist from the extension office explains the workshop is designed to help those who use pesticides stay within the law. Those applying or renewing will need to bring a private pesticide applicator reference manual or purchase one for 12 dollars. In addition to application process, there will be presentations on new fuel storage containment laws and new pests to watch for. The event will be Wednesday January 26th at the Velma Houts Fair Building in Rock Port with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. and the informational meeting beginning at 8. A free lunch will be provided at noon following the meeting. Those who plan on attending the meal are asked to RSVP by calling the Atchison County Extension Office.
