Brigadier general Mark Corson is the commander of the 103rd sustainment command and was one of the speakers at a recent workshop at the joint base in Balad, Iraq. Called the "Sisterhood against Sexual Assault Conference", Corson and others emphasized the importance of soldiers preventing assaults and reporting them if they do happen. Corson says he himself was a victim when he was a teenager saying it didn't go further than the initial assault but he never reported it. Corson told soldiers no one in the world should have to put up with the behavior saying as a commanding officer he's committed to ensuring justice is done and everyone's rights respected. The military training was designed to help soldiers keep dignity and respect, despite what might have happened to them.
