Called the "170 Million Americans" campaign, it's in response to a proposal in the US house to cut funding for public radio and TV stations. If this would happen, it would cut about $162,000 from our budget, more than we pay to carry programs like Morning Edition, Fresh Air, All Things Considered, Car Talk, and other shows. Supporters of KXCV and KRNW are being directed to a national website not to pledge money, but their support for public broadcasting. There you can also sign up for e-mail updates tracking the legislation that proposes the public broadcasting funding cuts. That website is "170 MillionAmericans.org".
