Besides Atchison county farmer being named president of the Missouri Farm Bureau, two other producers from our region are serving in leadership roles. Lori Fordice from Ridgeway is serving on the Farm Bureau's promotion and education committee. She will be evaluating programs promoting agriculture and strengthening the Farm Bureau. Fordice is co-owner of AN Equipment Company in Bethany and also teaches personal finance and coaches at Central High School in St. Joseph. Also chosen to serve is Vernon Hart from St. Joseph, who will be on the organization's board of directors. Hart farms 1,200 acres, has an angus operation, and is politically active in farm poilcy issues.
