St. Joseph Violence

Yesterday morning two schools again triggered lock downs after a man was shot in the Torso at 10th and Powell Streets in a north-side neighborhood after a fight. This follows a man being shot several weeks ago and the nearly daily occurrence of shots being fired and hitting windows, a school bus, and houses especially in the mid-town area. St. Joseph Police captain Kevin Castle says the general public is not the target but it is still very dangerous. Castle says investigators are trying to detect patterns in the shots fired looking at locations and times of day and stepping up police patrols in those areas.
