Nodaway County Elections

Republican Bob Rice overweeningly defeated Tina Meyer Deiter with 58% of the vote. Republican Elaine Wilson unseated the incumbent Kim Carmichael for the clerk of the circuit court with 56% of the vote. Republican Roy Blunt won the US senate seat was won by republican Tom Schweich in Nodaway County, and the 4th district state representative was won by republican Mike Thomson. On statewide issues amendment one to make the county assessor's seat be an elected position in charter counties passed last night with 72% of the vote. Amendment two to wave property taxes for former prisoners of war in Missouri passed with 55% of the vote. Amendment three banning new taxes on future real estate transfers passed with 83% of the vote, Nodaway County did not pass proposition B placing new restrictions on dog breeders in Missouri with 72% opposing.
