The Powwow features singing, drums and dancers all competing in a variety of categories. There will also be a variety of native american craft items, T-shirts, and food for sale. Dr. Barbara Crossland, Northwest's Powwow coordinator, says the event helps to remind us of native culture and celebration. Saturday afternoon's presentation starts at 1 and the evening presentation starts at 6, each beginning with a grand entry and lasting around 4 hours. Admission is free and open to the public.
