3 Minute Fiction

Host guy Raz says program producers have started the fifth round of their 3 Minute Fiction contest. He says the competition gives listeners the chance to write a short story and compare their work to the work of writers from across the contry. Raz says NPR is working with the Iowa writer's workshop to judge the stories. Over the first four rounds, he says more than 20,000 stories were submitted. You can submit your story and find rules and past stories from the competition on the NPR website at
