That's from the St. Joseph Police Department, which reports there's been significant progress in several violent crimes in recent days. The police say they have picked up a 4th suspect in the case where several men broke into a party at the Broadmoor in St. Joseph and robbed the party-goers. Arrested is 23 year old Jered Houston. while they were questioning him, they think they have discovered a suspect in the shooting death of Lonjers. Officers say no one has yet been charged in the murder but the investigation remains very active. In another case, an arrest has been made in a life-threatening hit and run. 33 old Jeremy Neveis was found earlier this week in the 200 block of East Rosine street in St. Joseph. Investigators think he had been lying there with life-threatening injuries for 2 hours before someone discovered him. He was flown to KU medical in critical condition. Police have arrested his co-worker, Robert R. White Junior. White is in jail on with a bond of $35,000. Police say citizens tips helped them with major leads in both of these cases.
