Litton Remembered

Chillicothe congressman Jerry Litton and his family died in a plane crash at the Chillicothe municipal airport on primary election night back in 1976. The Daviess County native was known state-wide from a monthly TV dialogue program the filmed with politicians like then-governor Jimmy Carter and vice president Gerald Ford. Bonnie Mitchell serves on the board of the Litton family foundation. She says it was Jerry Litton's connection with people that continues his legacy today. The foundation continues the AG-Roots tradition of the Litton family by supporting projects like the Litton Agri-Science learning center in Chillicothe.
