A pen of 38 steers recently took first place in the central region in the Angussource Carcass Challenge. The Thompson Farm the University of Missouri owned facility near Spickard also uses breeding research to develop the "Tier 2" calves now being bred in the show-me select replacement program across the state. Another pen of 38 entered by Osborn Farms in Savannah won first place in the Northeast region of the competition.
