At the recent Rock Port board of aldermen meeting members heard from club representatives who presented the idea as a worse-case financial scenario. The board of the club requested the city have a plan in place if the golf course should be returned and operated by the city. The city aldermen voted to contribute $3,000 to help with repairs on the city-owned road going into the country club. The city also got an update on the compost site regulations. Rock Port area citizens continue dumping TV's, furniture, and other items at the compost site. Future options on the illegal dumping is expected to be taken up in future meetings.
