Wayne Flannery says black cutworm moths are starting to migrate up from the south.
He says in other parts of Missouri cutworms have already started attacking soybeans- but so far there are no reports in Northern Missouri.
He says they have trapped fall armyworm moths in extreme Northwest Missouri... but have had no reports of an outbreak yet.
Flannery says small corn is at highest risk for that pest.
He says other pests at work right now are burrower bugs and potato leafhopper injuring alfalfa.
The good news: gray leaf spot and other corn diseases appear to be limited right now in Northern Missouri.
