The New Nodaway County Humane Society is working with Walgreens to help shelter animals get adopted to new homes.
Director of the N-N-H-S Cindy Nelson says the shelter has many pets looking for a new home this weekend.
Walgreens will also be taking pictures of you and newly adopted pet for free.
The adopt-a-pet event will take place this Saturday at the Maryville Walgreens from 10 to 2.
