2010-3-22ROCK PORT, MO. | By: Wayman
Rock Port is working with the Northwest Missouri regional council of governments. They're trying to get funds through the popular community development block grant program. But currently the city falls short of requirements for that program. A survey of citizens should collect enough data to meet the requirements. The board is also given the go-ahead to get an asbestos inspection for two properties that could be torn down. Those are at 501 and 503 South Main. The inspection could cost as much as $565. It would cost about $17,000 to demolish both structures.
