MARYVILLE, MO (2010-3-31) City council is exploring options in dealing with dilapidated homes in Maryville.
City manager Matt Lacurf says there are a number of homes in the community considered vacant or run down. Funding attempts were unsuccessful in tearing down the homes and building new ones. Lacurf says run-down homes in have become an eyesore for both community and visitors. He adds the city continues looking for funding sources for the project that should be brought up and discussed in the next few weeks. Lacurf says the proposed program targets not only run down homes but vacant ones as well.
