Missouri tax policy is quickly taking the lead during discussions on how to fix Missouri's economic crisis. No decisions yet, but lawmakers are considering a possible replacement of the State income tax with a higher sales tax. Savannah senator Brad Lager predicts there will be resistance to the move. Lager says he voted to oppose the Missouri State tax commissions recommendation land valuations be raised. That issue appears to be dead this legislative session.
