The letter to all higher education presidents by higher education commissioner Robert Stein includes ideas like some campuses closing, some consolidating into others, and athletic programs being cut. But the head of the University in Maryville says not to worry. Northwest president Dr. John Jasinski says the context of the letter is simply notes from a brainstorming session the presidents held back in December. Jasinski says not only is there no timeline, there's no final decision on any of the ideas under discussion. Jasinski says it's important for State leaders to work together to come up with the best financial solutions for both schools and the taxpayers.
