While K-through-12 funding is set to increase by 18 million dollars through the state's school funding formula, it's still 87 million short of what schools need to be considered fully funded. State budget director Linda Luebbering defends the numbers, given the difficult budget situation. Some GOP lawmakers are calling the move troubling, saying the governor has chosen tax credits over education funding. Republican senator Jason Crowell warns the decision could trigger another lawsuit over school funding in Missouri.
