$200,000 has been passed by US House lawmakers to help fund "NITRO", or the "Northwest Missouri Inter-Agency TEam Response Operation". NITRO coordinates law enforcement agencies throughout our part of the State to work on bigger operations such as drug busts and other major crimes. The federal money will help pay salaries and benefits of 4 officers for 2 years. The bill the money is in is expected to pass the US senate and be signed into law.
