Drivers should pay special attention to signs along city streets that indicate emergency snow routes. Director of Maryville public safety Keith Wood says these streets are cleaned off first and most often in the city and warns residents they could be towed if they are parked on these routes once an emergency ordinance is issued. Wood adds residents are encouraged to stock up on groceries and other essential items to avoid driving on slippery roads.
