Improved Missouri Ambulances

The Missouri center for patient safety has received a grant totaling $595,165. The grant, funded Missouri foundation for health will go towards helping participating emergency medical service agencies to report quality of care information and adverse medical events. Currently in the planning stages the program is geared toward both collecting information about medical errors and changing the overall culture in Missouri's ambulance services. Jeremy Milarsky of the Missouri center for patient safety says that the overall outcome is one of improved safety. The Missouri center for patient safety is a federally listed patient safety organization which allows them to collect data on medical errors in a secure, confidential manner.
